Emma Lazarus High School for English Language Scholars is a New York City public school for new immigrants who are motivated to learn English while pursuing a high school diploma. The school currently has students that represent 22 different countries. As a result, each student can bring a unique perspective to workshop topics, and the workshop topics can bridge cultural diversity as they learn about the global effects of climate change.
